This morning as Jonathan and I were headed to his classical tutoring group, I was listening to the news on the radio. A story was being aired about the events taking place in Gaza. It was focusing on the fact that there are many Egyptian doctors and medical personnel who wanted to enter Gaza to help the civilians, but the Egyptian government was preventing them from doing so.
As we rode along, and a radio voice spoke about Israel, Egypt, and the unrest in Gaza. I heard a voice from the back seat serious as can be.
"I guess Pharoah has gone and done it again..."
At least I know he was paying attention in Sunday school. I couldn't help but chuckle a little, and then we took the opportunity to talk about what is really going on and how, in some ways, it did begin thousands of years ago and why we should be grateful that we live in a place where we enjoy safety and freedom.
I'm continually amazed at how much we can learn in the car.
