Sunday Musings: Psalm 133

Over the last year our congregation has begun to sing more Psalms when we gather.  This week our worship will include the singing of Psalm 133.  It seems only appropriate since this is the Psalm from which our church gets its name, Mt. Hermon.

Psalm 133
Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.

We sing a version adapter for a Psalter, but this is the English Standard Version.

  1. I saw your comment on the ABBA fund website about the adoption grant continuing... I smiled as we are in the same position as you all, hubby is a pastor of a small church! Are you in the adoption process now? I will have to check out your blog and possibly discover something about it! Blessings!

  2. Hi Shelly! We are not in the process of adopting right now, but we definitely hope to pursue it in the future. The news about the adoption tax credit definitely will allow that time to come much sooner than was possible before.
