NC Aquarium - Roanoke Island

It's been a while since I posted a big old little boy picture post.  This past week we spent a little bit of time at the Outer Banks, and we took advantage of the opportunity to visit the aquarium on Roanoke Island.

The boys always love looking at and learning about the different fish and other animals.

They like to pretend that they are wrangling alligators...

or that they actually live with the alligators.

I don't think anyone got up the nerve to touch one of the rays this time.

The turtles were posing for photos.

The boys' especially love looking at the sharks.

And they like to pose for photos sometimes, too.

Outside, there is a pit where you can dig for sharks' teeth.  We got dirty, but we didn't find any teeth.

We visited the other two NC Aquariums at other times throughout the last year, and they are all very nice.  We're certainly considering purchasing a family membership again because we enjoy not only the aquariums, but we love to go to the zoo any time we get the urge to take a road trip!

  1. They're so big and soooo handsome Crystal! I can't believe how grown-up they look.
